This Stuff Aint Stiff

Shirts, we have mixed feelings about them especially if they're of the long sleeved stiff collared buttoned up variety that is just always always always uncomfortable to wear. Well, since we've never really throughout our working life had the need to dress up in formal office clothes, we relate that experience to our college presentation days, back when even then, the temperature would have at least been a couple of degrees cooler (yes, screw you global warming). Now, if we absolutely need to wear something resembling a proper work shirt, we tend to want to look for alternatives:

Wouldn't the world be a better place if we can all leave a few buttons, er, unbuttoned? Hair down all over the place and take off work before the sun goes down? Yes, much better world indeed.

Secretary

We saw a couple of months back in our (most most most) favourite fashion-ny site where they picked the movie 'Secretary' starring Maggie Gyllenhaal as the Most Fashionable Film! It was rather an 'unlikely but after a two second reflection totally awesome' kind of choice. And we are totally pro things that makes us go, 'Ugh...hmm..woah' in two seconds. We are so embracing the whole high waist jeans/pants/shorts/skirt and flare trouser jeans kinda look right now that we have the bottoms and nada the tops. So here it is, our choices that clearly reflects our two totally unrelated anecdotes above:

#2 Sheerly, You Must Love This

Our colleague exclaimed when we first brought this in, eek, that's so us! And yes, it is. We have this whole thing recently with pretty loose blouses that are heaven to wear with the heat and all, and yet makes us feel totally feminine without being all like tight clothes-low cut-belly baring or something.
